A group founded by 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Tom Steyer, announced Tuesday that it will run a pro-impeachment ad, featuring former special counsel Robert Mueller’s House testimony, on CNN and MSNBC before and after Tuesday and Wednesday night’s Democratic presidential debates.

Need to Impeach’s ad shows Mueller answering affirmatively to questions about whether he could charge President Trump with obstruction of justice after Trump leaves office, whether the president’s campaign welcomed Russian help and whether Trump’s answers showed he wasn’t being truthful.

{mosads}The spot also shows Mueller answering “no” when asked if he exonerated the president.

Despite the group’s ties to Steyer, who is listed as its founder on its website, the end of the advertisement said it was not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee. The Hill has requested a comment from Steyer’s campaign.

The “What Mueller said” ad will also run “in digital channels” during and after the debate, according to a Need to Impeach statement.

The group said the six-figure campaign is part of a half-million dollar “public education push” it is launching in August.

“Mueller did not exonerate Donald Trump, his investigation resulted in 37 indictments, 7 guilty pleas, over 100 secret meetings with Russia, and 10 instances of obstruction of justice,” Need to Impeach Executive Director Nathaly Arriola said in the statement. “As much as this President and his Administration attempt to cover up the facts, with this ad we are ensuring that Americans hear the facts directly from Mueller.”

Need to Impeach said it has spent $74 million dollars over the past two years.

Mueller testified before the House last week about the findings in his report released earlier this year. The report laid out 10 possible instances of obstruction of justice by the president, but found that his 2016 campaign did not illegally conspire with Russia.
