Multiple anti-government protesters killed in Iraq

Four anti-government protesters were killed and an additional 108 were wounded in Baghdad on Saturday, The Associated Press reported.

{mosads}Iraqi officials told the AP that three of the protesters were shot to death, and the fourth protester was killed by a tear gas canister that struck him in the head.

The casualties were a result of daylong protesting, in which protesters blocked three main bridges that span the Tigris River.

Saturday’s anti-government protests are the latest in the ongoing unrest in Iraq that has led to the death of more than 250 people.
