British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn criticized the country’s sentencing policies Saturday following the terrorist attack on London Bridge.

“There’s got to be a very full investigation,” Corbyn told Reuters

“I think there is also a question about what the probation service were doing … and whether the parole board should have been involved in deciding whether or not he should have been allowed to be released from prison in the first place,” he continued.

Usman Khan, the man responsible for the stabbing attack on London Bridge on Friday, was released from prison in 2018 despite being part of a terror plot to blow up the London Stock Exchange in 2012.

Khan, 28, was shot dead by police on-site, and two victims of the attack died later Friday.

Corbyn is Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s main challenger in Britain’s Dec. 12 general election but is currently trailing in the polls, according to the news outlet.
