“Avoid these areas over the weekend, starting tomorrow, April 26th through Sunday, April 28th. Continue to remain vigilant and avoid large crowds,” it added.

The warning follows attacks last Sunday on Easter worshippers and hotel guests that killed more than 300 people in in the island nation. At least four Americans were killed in the attacks.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday decried the attacks as “a horrific wave of Islamic radical terror” and said the U.S. will provide assistance to Sri Lanka.
