State: No idea if China will spoil US-Russia deal on Syria

“I’m not in the business of predicting what the Chinese will do.”

“I’m not going to make a judgment about what China might or might not do.”

“I can’t make a judgment on that question.”

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the United States and Russia are just two days away from a breakthrough. He said the proposed resolution will not contain an automatic trigger — meaning the council would have to vote again on any international response.
