White House gets Georgia Republicans to introduce UN nominee
{mosads}A handful of conservative activists have raised concerns with Power’s past statements regarding Israel and U.S. power.
Those concerns have failed to gain traction on Capitol Hill after the White House launched a full-court press with Jewish leaders to assuage any concerns about Powers’s support for Israel, following decade-old comments where she said the United States could deploy a “mammoth protection force” to prevent genocide by Israelis against Palestinians, or vice-versa.
