Panel clears Obama’s nominee to the United Nations
{mosads}Nuland for her part raised concerns because of her role in reviewing talking points used to brief lawmakers about the terror attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya. She had raised issue about divulging past terror warnings without giving the State Department a chance to respond.
The panel also unanimously approved Edward Lute to be ambassador to NATO, Daniel Brooks Baer to serve as ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and Catherine Russell to be Ambassador at Large for Global Women’s Issues.
