After Obama’s ‘red line’ comments, Russia warns US against military action in Syria
{mosads}Obama issued the warning during a rare press conference Monday. The White House has repeatedly called for Assad to step down, but has so far ruled out intervening in Syria or even arming the rebels in the 18-month conflict that has left 18,000 people dead.
“We cannot have a situation where chemical or biological weapons are falling into the hands of the wrong people,” Obama said at a press conference. Weapons being moved or utilized “would change my calculus,” he said.
Dai was in Russia for the seventh round of strategic security consultations between the two countries.
