Falcons terminated the contract of a team scout who refused to get COVID-19 vaccine
The Atlanta Falcons have reportedly terminated the contract of Rodrik David, a Midwest-based team scout, due to his refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
In their statement to ESPN reporter Jordan Schultz, who broke the news, the Falcons said that since August it has implemented a new policy that mandates vaccinations for full- and part-time employees. The NFL team also shared that it has worked through the process with most staffers.
“The vaccination policy will be put in effect during the month of October,” the Falcons said in their statement.

Last month, the NFL revised its own COVID-19 protocols, advising that vaccinated players should be tested weekly instead of every 14 days.
Some 93 percent of NFL players are vaccinated against the virus, according to Sports Illustrated.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons are the only two teams in the league that have said that all their players are vaccinated.
