XFL stadium employee tests positive for coronavirus

A CenturyLink Field concessions employee who worked during the XFL’s Seattle Dragons home game on Feb. 22 tested positive for the coronavirus, according to King County health officials, ESPN reports.

The NFL’s Seattle Seahawks and MLS’s Seattle Sounders also use the CenturyLink Field for home games, though only the Sounders are in season at the moment.

King County officials said in a statement that the 22,060 people who were at the Feb. 22 game against the Dallas Renegades were at low risk of also testing positive for the virus that has infected more than 100,000 people worldwide.

Washington state has been the epicenter for the coronavirus in the U.S., with 13 of the 14 related deaths in the country coming from the state and 12 of those 13 coming from King County. In total, the U.S. has more than 200 confirmed cases of the virus.
