{mosads}Pluralities of Democrats and independents trusted the IPAB more than private insurers, Congress or the Medicare agency. Republicans primarily trusted private insurance companies.

Support for the overall healthcare law was roughly split, in keeping with previous results from Kaiser’s monthly tracking poll. Forty-two percent said they had a positive view of the law, compared with 46 percent who had a negative view.

The public is also divided over Rep. Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) plan to convert Medicare into a sort of voucher system. Forty-five percent said the program should be changed, compared with 49 percent who said it should remain the same as it is today.
