Read: Federal watchdog warns of ‘severe’ hospital shortages
Hospitals across the country are reporting serious shortages of tests and protective equipment in the fight against coronavirus and are raising concerns about being able to keep health workers safe, according to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) inspector general.
“Severe” shortages of tests for hospitals to use are noted along with “widespread” shortfalls of protective equipment needed to keep health workers safe.
