Sebelius gets new chief of staff

“Andrea’s work has focused on a range of issues central to our mission at HHS, and I look forward to working closely with her in this new capacity,” Sebelius said in a memo to department employees.

She also praised Hoard, her outgoing chief of staff, who will become deputy commissioner for policy at the FDA.

“I want to express my sincere appreciation to Sally Howard for her outstanding service to me and the Department … She has been an amazing asset to this organization, and while she will not be moving very far away, we will certainly miss her presence in my office,” Sebelius wrote.
