US investigating blood thinner Plavix
{mosads}The new investigation centers on the “variability of response to Plavix,” according to a Sanofi filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The AP reported that U.S. regulators added a safety warning to the Plavix label in 2010 because of the likelihood that some patients could not metabolize the drug.
Plavix was the No. 2 drug in the world before last May, raking in annual sales of about $9 billion, the wire service reported.
