WH: ‘Two Ferns’ top driver of HealthCare.gov traffic

President Obama’s Internet comedy sketch with Zach Galifianakis is presently the top driver of Web traffic to the HealthCare.gov website, White House communications adviser Tara McGuinness said Tuesday over Twitter.

In the bit at FunnyOrDie.com, Obama plugged the Affordable Care Act while he and Galifianakis awkwardly exchange passive-aggressive insults.

The sketch is meant to raise awareness about the March 31 open enrollment deadline among young consumers, who the White House needs to sign-up for the healthcare law to work optimally.

Some conservatives mocked Obama for the comedy bit, saying he has a history of not taking the office of the presidency seriously. At least one conservative disagreed.
