Rove: Emanuel puts bad face on ObamaCare

Zeke Emanuel’s frequent defense of ObamaCare on television is hurting the White House’s cause, Karl Rove said Monday.

{mosads}“Frankly, as an opponent of ObamaCare I hope they keep putting Dr. Emanuel on television,” Rove said on Fox News.

“But if they really do want to engage in a P.R. campaign, my advice would be stop letting him go on television and [be] the face of the program, because it ain’t a very attractive face and voice.”

Emanuel was the special health policy adviser to the to the Office of Management and Budget during the design phase of the healthcare law, and is the brother of former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, who is now Chicago’s mayor.

In the early stages of the problem-plagued rollout of the law, conservatives pounced on a comment Zeke Emanuel made about how his new iPhone came filled with glitches, and that this was evidence the administration simply needs more time to implement its fixes.

“No, you don’t have to buy an iPhone, and if the iPhone had had as disastrous rollout as ObamaCare, Apple’s stock would be about a buck 44 and the company would be going out of business,” Rove said Monday. “This was dreadful implementation, and the sooner they admit it the better off their credibility with the American people.”
