CEOs sign on to help Obama push for foreign investment
{mosads}The six chief executive officers have confirmed they will participate in a new international summit designed to promote foreign direct investment.
The SelectUSA summit is slated for Oct. 31 to Nov. 1.
On hand will be BlackRock CEO Lawrence Fink, Bloomberg CEO Daniel Doctoroff, Caterpillar CEO Douglas Oberhelman, Dow Chemical Company CEO Andrew Liveris, Siemens CEO Eric Spiegel and Wal-Mart CEO Bill Simon.
Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker has made the summit a top priority since joining the Cabinet this summer.
Foreign direct investment in the United States totaled nearly $168 billion last year, Commerce says, but the administration believes a lot more can be done, especially in manufacturing.
