PwC snags top former IRS official
The tax and accounting giant PricewaterhouseCoopers has landed a former top IRS official for its Washington office.
{mosads}Mike Danilack is becoming a principal on top international issues, after serving as the IRS deputy commissioner in charge of some of those same matters.
In a release, PwC said Danilack “will play a key role in PwC’s global tax controversy network, focusing on transfer pricing, advance pricing agreements (APAs), mutual agreements and other cross-border tax controversies.”
Transfer pricing is a favorite technique used by multinational corporations, because it allows them to lower their tax bills by shifting assets to subsidiaries in low-tax countries from high-tax places like the U.S.
