IRS chief: Taxpayers will now start feeling sequester

{mosads}The IRS told employees last month to expect five furlough days, spread between May and August, where the agency would essentially be shut down.

Both Democrats and Republicans have said that the sequester should be replaced, but differ how to do so – Republicans want more targeted spending cuts to fill in for the roughly $80 billion sequester, while Democrats want any deal to include new revenues. Some GOP officials have also said that they don’t believe the sequester has been much of a drag on the economy.
