A rocket attack on an Iraqi airbase killed two Americans and a British national Wednesday, with a spokesman for coalition forces saying the attack involved more than 15 rockets.

The attack on the Taji military base also wounded more than 11 people, Pentagon officials told Fox News, although it was unclear whether those killed were military or civilian contractors.

“[M]ore than 15 small rockets impacted Iraq’s Camp Taji base hosting Coalition troops [on] March 11 at 7:35 p.m. (Iraq Time). Assessment and investigation ongoing,” Operation Inherent Resolve spokesman Col. Myles B. Caggins III tweeted Wednesday.

The attack came two days after enemy forces killed two U.S. service members while accompanying Iraqi forces in northern Iraq. Although the Pentagon has not yet drawn any conclusions about who was responsible for the Camp Taji attack, a Pentagon source told Fox “ISIS doesn’t have this capability.”
