Harris accuses Trump of being ‘punked’ by North Korea

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) on Wednesday night said President Trump “got punked” when it comes to the administration’s so far unsuccessful denuclearization negotiations with North Korea.

“Donald Trump got punked,” she said during the 2020 primary debate. “He has traded a photo-op for nothing.”

Harris added that Trump has “conducted foreign policy since day one borne out of a very fragile ego,” and that he “is the greatest threat to our national security.”

North Korean officials earlier this week said that the nation will not agree to another meeting between the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, and Trump without more concessions than the United States is currently offering.

“We are no longer interested in such talks that bring nothing to us. As we have got nothing in return, we will no longer gift the U.S. president with something he can boast of,” North Korean Foreign Ministry adviser Kim Kye Gwan said in a statement.

The United States and North Korea have held three meetings since June 2018, but no formal denuclearization agreement has been made.

Harris also said she would not make additional concessions to bring Pyongyang to the negotiating table again.
