Stephanie Bice is a fourth-generation Oklahoman who unseated Rep. Kendra Horn (D) in a competitive race for the state’s 5th Congressional District.
She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.A. in marketing, minoring in international business. Before her time as a lawmaker, she worked for eight years in financial oversight, business strategy and marketing for her family’s technology company. She later served as a vice president of business development for a digital marketing company in Oklahoma City.
Bice was elected to the Oklahoma state Senate in 2014 and served for two years as assistant majority floor leader. She is also chair of the Senate Finance Committee.
She is focused on improving health care, including finding ways to address the high cost of prescription drug costs and protecting those with preexisting conditions.
In addition, Bice is focused on helping veterans find careers after their service and is a strong proponent of Second Amendment rights.
