Scott Franklin will be serving in Congress as representative for Florida’s 15th District after defeating Democratic candidate Alan Cohn. Franklin won the Republican nomination after winning the primary against Rep. Ross Spano (R), who was mired in an ongoing campaign finance investigation.

Franklin has promised to “advance the agenda of President Donald Trump to Keep America Great.”

Franklin is a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Navy and has been serving as managing partner for an insurance firm for the past year.

This will not be Franklin’s first foray into politics. Franklin has served as Lakeland city commissioner since 2018 and was elected mayor pro tem in January.
