Michael Moore releases footage of mail-bomber suspect Cesar Sayoc at Trump rally

Filmmaker Michael Moore on Sunday released footage he captured in 2017 of mail-bomber suspect Cesar Sayoc Jr. at a rally for President Trump.

Moore wrote on his website that his film crew captured the video when they were filming for “Fahrenheit 11/9,” his recently released documentary about the rise of Trump.

{mosads}In the video, Sayoc can be seen holding an anti-CNN sign as the crowd shouts, “CNN sucks! CNN sucks!” Sayoc’s sign is emblazoned with anti-Hillary Clinton messages as well.

Moore, in a blog post accompanying the video, wrote that Sayoc appears to be “overdosed on steroids” and has “fear in his eyes.”

Sayoc’s van was reportedly covered in pro-Trump, anti-CNN and anti-Democrat stickers, according to reports following his arrest. Moore was among those pictured on the van with targets over their faces.

“Needless to say, I was a bit shaken to see that Sayoc had placed a photo of me with a crosshairs target over my face on the side of his van,” Moore wrote. “Over the past 15 years I have encountered men like him many times. I stopped counting the death threats long ago.”

“Because of this target he put on me, the police and security people were looking on Friday to see if a package had been sent to me and, if so, is it still somewhere in the postal delivery system,” he wrote. “So far, so good!”

Sayoc, who was apprehended in Aventura, Fla., was charged with interstate transportation of an explosive, illegal mailing of explosives, threats against former presidents and certain other persons, threatening interstate communication and assaulting federal officers.

If convicted, he could face up to 48 years in prison.

Authorities have intercepted more than a dozen packages containing crude pipe bombs targeting high-profile Democrats and CNN in the past week.

Sayoc had a list of more than 100 people he planned to target, NBC News reported. Law enforcement officials are alerting those listed and seeking to intercept any other packages.
