Philadelphia Soccer 2026, the host committee for the city’s 2026 FIFA World Cup matches, hired Foley & Lardner to lobby on funding and awareness of tournament hosting needs. The firm has now registered to help eight of the 11 U.S. cities score federal funding ahead of the global soccer tournament, which the U.S. will jointly host with Mexico and Canada. Former Rep. Dennis Cardoza (D-Calif.) will work on the account.

Volvo Group North America hired Commonwealth Strategic Partners to lobby on issues related to government transportation. One of the lobbyists on the account is Katie Hazlett, who joined the firm after a stint as principal deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Energy and 14 years on Capitol Hill in various roles with former Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-N.J.), who chaired the House Appropriations Committee.

The kidney dialysis services company DaVita hired Horizon Government Affairs to lobby on issues related to Medicare provider reimbursement. Joel White, former staff director of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Health, will work on the account.
Breast Cancer Ruckus hired G2G Consulting to lobby on issues related to breast cancer diagnosis and early detection technologies. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness of and funds for further research into the disease. One of the lobbyists on the account is Christopher Cooper, who spent more than two decades with members of the House Appropriations Committee, most recently as chief appropriations counsel for Rep. Dave Joyce (R-Ohio).
