The South Carolina primary is less than a month away and will likely be a focus of this week’s Sunday talk shows. Additionally, Congress is stuck in a battle over the southern border bill, which will also likely be a focus as tensions rise over the months-long negotiation.

After winning the New Hampshire GOP primary on Tuesday, former President Trump has now set his sights on the home state of his only remaining competitor Republican: former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

Although Haley came in second last week, she has doubled down in her fight, saying the race is “far from over.”

Concerns over how Haley will fare in her home state’s Feb. 24 primary have arisen as she trails Trump significantly in the polls, The Hill/Decision Desk. HQ reports.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), who dropped out of the GOP primary in November, formally endorsed Trump last week. Haley’s allies criticized the decision, noting that she appointed him to his Senate position in 2012 when she was governor.

Scott will join ABC’s “This Week” where he will likely talk about the upcoming primary in his state and his decision to back Trump, while Haley is set to join NBC’s “Meet the Press” where she will likely speak about earning support from South Carolina voters and her decision to not back down after her second loss last week.

The Biden campaign is also gearing up for its first official primary in South Carolina and several supporters are joining talk shows this week, where they will likely advocate for his reelection. California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) will appear on ABC’s “This Week,” after he announced he would be campaigning for Biden in Nevada and South Carolina. Shawn Fain, the President of the United Auto Workers union, will join CBS’ “Face the Nation” after he endorsed Biden at a conference on Wednesday.

Congress continues to struggle with passing a deal focused on sending aid to the country’s southern border. Members on both sides of the aisle are upset that Trump has attempted to kill the border deal to hurt Biden ahead of the election by persuading key allies in the Senate to tank the bill that’s been in the works for months.

Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.) has stepped into the spotlight this month as he has attempted to get his GOP colleagues in both the House and the Senate to agree to the potential border deal. He joins CBS’s “Face the Nation” and “Fox News Sunday” where he will likely discuss efforts to get the Biden-backed deal across the finish line.

Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) is also set to join CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday, where he is expected to speak on behalf of the Democrats and their priorities in the ongoing border talks, particularly how the infighting is stalling aid for Ukraine and Israel in their respective wars.

Here’s the complete lineup for the Sunday news shows:
