Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Brock Long said Sunday that there has been “great communications” between Congress and the White House on emergency management amid recovery efforts from Hurricane Harvey and preparations for Hurricane Irma.

“There’s great communication between the White House and the Congress in regards to emergency management,” Long told “Fox News Sunday.”

{mosads}Irma is now expected to move up the west coast of Florida as a Category 4 hurricane.

Long in the interview said President Trump has provided him with the authority he needs to deal with the recovery of both storms.

“I have all the authorities form the president I need to be able to move forward as well,” he said.

Millions of Floridians have been told to evacuate as the state prepares for the storm.

“This is a complex event,” Long said. “The power is going to be out for a long time.”
