A 28-year-old woman was arrested after police said she posed as a high school student to enter a school campus to promote her Instagram page, The Washington Post reports.
Audrey Francisquini was allegedly caught handing out fliers with her Instagram page on them in the hallways of a Miami-Dade high school on Monday. Wearing a backpack with a skateboard under her arm, Francisquini approached students at American Senior High School about her social media account, prosecutors said.
The Carnival Cruise Line employee fled the scene after being confronted by security, who caught on to her scheme after she claimed to be a student looking for the school’s administration office, authorities said.
Police found Francisquini at her Miami Beach home later that night and arrested her.
“I legit have I don’t know how many cops outside right now of my house,” she said in an Instagram story, according to WSVN. “I’m not going outside at all.”
She had since pleaded not guilty to charges of felony trespassing, misdemeanor interfering with a school and resisting arrest without violence, the Post said. On Tuesday, a judge set her bond at $2,000.
Students who encountered Francisquini said her fliers depicted images and videos from her Instagram feed, including ones of her wearing a devil mask.
“It’s crazy. It’s very creepy,” a student told the Post.
Francisquini has been ordered to keep a distance from the high school.
