New York attorney general working on list of Trump initiatives for Biden to reverse

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) is preparing a list of actions taken by President Trump that she hopes a President Joe Biden would reverse if he is elected.

“We’re preparing a list. And the list is long,” she told NBC News. “We’ll have a team of individuals, again, working on reversing all of the bad regulations and laws that have been put forth.”

She added, “We will work with the Biden administration to ask them to file stays in a number of cases that are pending in the courts all across this country.”

James has pursued multiple investigations of Trump and his business interests since she took office at the beginning of last year.

They include an investigation into whether the Trump Organization has been illegally inflating its assets in order to get tax breaks and attract investors. James has subpoenaed Eric Trump, the president’s son, for that case.

Trump has accused James of politicizing the case, while James says she will not allow Trump “to dictate how our investigation will proceed.”

The president has also criticized James in tweets, describing her campaign for attorney general as “a GET TRUMP agenda” and later dismissing her as a “bludgeoning tool” for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D).

James told NBC she doesn’t “pay a lot of attention to all the noise and all the critics.”
