Former Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Ind.), who died Sunday, will lie in state at the Indiana State Capitol.
His funeral will take place on May 15, and he will lie in the Capitol prior to the funeral, according to a statement from the Lugar Center.
On May 14, Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) will begin a memorial period during which the rotunda will be open for mourners until sunset and again between 8 a.m. and 11a.m. the next day.

Lugar died at age 87 after experiencing complications from a rare neurological disorder. During his time in the Senate, he served twice as chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee.
