GOP lawmaker on Trump’s ‘Horseface’ comment: ‘That’s not the way men act’

GOP Sen. Ben Sasse (Neb.) on Tuesday chastised President Trump for calling adult-film star Stormy Daniels “Horseface” in a tweet.

“That’s not the right move,” Sasse said of the comment on “Meet The Press Daily.” “That’s not the way men act.”

The jab from the frequent Trump critic comes in response to the president’s tweet attacking Daniels while touting a court victory against her.

{mosads}“’Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials [sic] lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees.’ @FoxNews Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas,” Trump tweeted. “She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!”

Trump’s tweet, which sparked criticism from both sides of the aisle, comes the day after a federal judge threw out Daniels’s defamation lawsuit against Trump and ordered her to pay Trump’s legal fees.

Daniels, who alleges she had an affair with Trump in 2006, is suing the president in a separate lawsuit over a 2016 nondisclosure agreement tied to the alleged affair and a subsequent payment meant to keep her quiet about her claims.
