Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) says the Senate will stall on confirming President Trump’s deputy attorney general if the FBI refuses to provide evidence of wiretaps against Trump.
“Congress is going to flex its muscle here and you see that all over the place,” Graham said Wednesday on NBC’s “Today.”

Graham said Tuesday the FBI “would screw up big time” by not handing over potential applications for a warrant to wiretap Trump’s presidential campaign or related court documents.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Tuesday that Trump is “extremely confident” the Department of Justice will produce evidence former President Obama ordered surveillance against him.
The Trump administration on Monday requested more time to comply with a House Intelligence Committee request for evidence substantiating Trump’s claim of wiretapping.
Trump surprised lawmakers earlier this month when he tweeted Obama “had my ‘wires tapped’” in New York City’s Trump Tower without providing evidence.
Rod Rosenstein, Trump’s deputy attorney general nominee, last week refused to endorse appointing a special prosecutor for investigating ties between the president’s 2016 campaign and Russia.
The Trump administration has said the House and Senate Intelligence committees should fold his claims about wiretapping into its larger probe of Russian meddling in last year’s election.
