Jonathan Easley returns to The Hill

We are happy to announce that Jonathan Easley is returning to The Hill as Staff Writer and Author of The Evening Report Newsletter. 

More than three years ago as many of you remember, Jon departed The Hill and set up shop in Los Angeles with a couple well received screenplays. And he has had major success as one of his scripts was made into a major feature film, Red Right Hand. 

Jon is not giving up his dream as a screenwriter and in fact, is shopping new scripts he has written over the last few years. But as Hollywood goes through a tough economic time, Jon is diving back into political journalism. He will be helming The Hill’s Evening Report newsletter, freeing up Liz Crisp to do more on our Campaign newsletter as well as breaking news. 

Jon started at The Hill in October of 2011 on Briefing Room before pivoting to campaign reporting and subsequently starting Morning Report with Alexis Simendinger. His first day back will be Wednesday, May 15. Please welcome him back later this week.
