Lindsey Boylan slams Schumer, Gillibrand for reluctance to call for Cuomo’s resignation
Lindsey Boylan, the first woman who accused New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) of sexual harassment, is going after Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) for not calling for Cuomo’s resignation.
“You are cowards @SenGillibrand @SenSchumer and I look forward to supporting whoever primaries you,” Boylan said on Twitter on Friday.

Six women have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against the governor with New York Democrats calling for his resignation because of them, but Schumer and Gillibrand have not been as quick to ask Cuomo to step down.
“The allegations of these women are serious. They’re deeply troubling. Last night’s was nauseating,” Schumer said Thursday, but he still did not call for Cuomo’s resignation.
Gillibrand has called the allegations “completely unacceptable” and said they “must be taken seriously and be reviewed,” but she also stopped short of asking for a resignation letter.
Boylan told both the senators to “Get ready” because she plans to start a PAC in order to oust the “colossal cowards.”
“Not only will I help fund this, but I will show up on every talk show to oppose you both @SenSchumer and @SenGillibrand. I will call you out for the cowards you are. I am so tired of your lack of courage,” she said.
Cuomo has repeatedly stated that he does not plan to step down from his position despite growing calls for him to do so from Democrats and Republicans.
Boylan continued to go after the New York senators on Twitter on Friday for their failure to join the chorus of resignation calls.
