Ginsburg buried in Arlington National Cemetery

The late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was buried Tuesday at Arlington National Cemetery.

She was buried next to her husband, Martin, who died in 2010, a Fox affiliate WTTG reported.

A journalist for CNN also reported the justice was buried at the National Cemetery Tuesday morning.

Ginsburg made history Friday at the U.S. Capitol as the first woman to lay in state at the location, underscoring her legacy as a trailblazer for women’s rights and issues during her time serving on the nation’s highest court.

She was only the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court and was the first Jewish person and the second justice to lay in the Capitol, where members of Congress, military officials, friends and family paid homage to Ginsburg.

On Wednesday her casket was moved outside the Supreme Court so the public could pay their respects from a distance, under pandemic restrictions.

The Hill reached out to the Supreme Court but did not immediately receive a response.
