Greta Thunberg, the Swedish activist who has been one of the main drivers of the climate movement, will help lead a climate change strike in Montreal Friday, Reuters reports.

Montreal is where the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has convened to discuss plane emissions goals. Thunberg, 16, has a vehement stance against air travel due to carbon emissions.

{mosads}For last week’s Global Climate Strike, she traveled to North America from the United Kingdom via a zero-carbon emissions boat.

The demonstration comes just a month before a federal election in Canada and highlights an issue that’s a high priority for many Canadian voters, according to recent polling.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Green Party chief Elizabeth May will be in attendance, according to the news outlet.

Commercial airlines account for roughly 3 percent of the world’s carbon emissions, but researchers believe this number will increase as the number of yearly fliers is predicted to double by 2037.

The ICAO estimates that $40 billion in climate financing will be created between 2020 and 2035.
