Netanyahu ‘moved’ by solidarity following Pittsburgh synagogue shooting

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he was moved by the displays of solidarity from around the world after a shooting in a Pittsburgh synagogue.

“I was moved to see millions of people across the globe express their support and solidarity a week after 11 of our Jewish brothers and sisters were massacred in Pittsburgh,” Netanyahu tweeted Sunday.

A man stormed the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh last month, firing at those gathered to worship as he screamed “all Jews must die.”

Authorities say the suspected shooter told police after the assault that he wanted “to kill Jews” and that “all these Jews need to die.”

Many have condemned the attack and reached out in support for those affected by the violence.

A GoFundMe started for the victims of the shooting has raised more than $1 million and a separate campaign on LaunchGood has raised more than $237,400, over 10 times its original goal.
