Woman stalked by Annapolis shooter: He ‘tormented,’ ‘terrorized’ me
The woman who was stalked and harassed by the Capital Gazette shooter is speaking out about the harassment she faced at his hands. She said he “tormented and traumatized and terrorized.”
“I know he can’t come and get me today, but I have been tormented and traumatized and terrorized for so long that it has, I think, changed the fiber of my being,” the woman, who asked to be identified as Lori, said in an exclusive interview with NBC.
The shooter Jarrod Ramos stormed into the Capital Gazette newsroom last week, killing five and injuring several more. He is currently being held without bond.

“As soon as they said it happened at the Capital newspaper and they couldn’t identify their suspect, I picked up the phone and said, ‘I know who your suspect is,’ ” Lori said on NBC’s “Today Show.”
“I knew if he was to do anything on a mass shooting level, it was going to target the Capital,” she said.
Ramos nursed a vendetta against the Capital Gazette for years, stemming from a 2011 column about Ramos harassing and stalking Lori.
After the Capital Gazette wrote an article about Ramos pleading guilty to criminally harassing Lori, Ramos sued the paper for defamation. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2015.
Lori said she moved away from Annapolis because she was so afraid of Ramos.
“I would be afraid that he could show up any time, anywhere, and kill me,” Lori said.
“He is very cold. He is very calculated,” she added.
