Women’s rights group projects image on Trump hotel ahead of SOTU speech

A women’s rights group on Tuesday protested President Trump ahead of his State of the Union address by projecting images on the side of his hotel in Washington, D.C.

UltraViolet used a projector to call on Congress to investigate Trump over allegations of sexual assault that have been leveled against him. Another message projected onto the Trump International Hotel claimed Trump “harassed or assaulted twenty women.”

According to NBC News, the projections only stayed up for about 10 minutes. 

Trump has faced multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has denied. 

{mosads}The projections came hours before Trump was set to deliver his first State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress. The Democratic Women’s Working Group is expected to wear all black to the address to express solidarity for the “Me Too” movement, the initiative aimed at raising awareness of the prevalence of sexual misconduct against women.

UltraViolet has staged a number of high-profile protests targeting Trump, particularly the sexual misconduct allegations against him. 

In October, for example, the group played the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape near the White House on a 12-hour loop. In that tape, which was leaked during the 2016 presidential race, Trump can be heard boasting that his fame allows him to kiss and grope women without their consent.
