CNN’s Pamela Brown tests positive for COVID-19

CNN anchor Pamela Brown tested positive for COVID-19, she tweeted on Saturday morning.

Brown, who said she is fully vaccinated and boosted, tweeted that she had a scratchy throat, so as a precaution she took a rapid antigen test, which confirmed she was positive with COVID-19.

Now the journalist is reporting “flu like” symptoms. She said she will be unable to host her show tonight.

“If this is ‘mild’ I don’t want to know what it would be like if I wasn’t tripled vaxxed,” she wrote.

Brown has been with CNN since 2013 and currently anchors the network’s weekend prime time show.

The highly transmissible omicron variant has been surging across the world, driving record spikes in confirmed coronavirus cases, with infections occurring even among the fully vaccinated and boosted.

Several other media personalities have recently tested positive for COVID-19, including NBC “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, who four days ago wrote on Instagram that “on the first day of our holiday break I tested positive for Covid. I was vaccinated and boostered which made me lucky enough to only have mild symptoms.”

Whoopi Goldberg, a host on ABC’s “The View,” also tested positive on Monday.
