‘CBS This Morning’ moving to new Times Square studio

“CBS This Morning” will have new digs this fall when it moves to a studio in Times Square, the network announced on Thursday.

The new studio space will be inside ViacomCBS’ world headquarters, several blocks from the morning show’s current location.

The show has been in the same location since 2012, when the network launched the most recent incarnation of “CBS This Morning.” Prior to that, the CBS morning program was called “The Early Show.”

Fox News and ABC News shows like “Good Morning America” will be among the CBS morning show’s new neighbors, with their production studios nearby.

“CBS This Morning,” which is co-hosted by Gayle King, Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil, broadcast from the company headquarters last fall as part of its Election Day coverage. Before the morning show moves to that same studio permanently, CBS plans on expanding the facility, adding new interview areas and a new graphic for the broadcast.
