Bartiromo to host ‘Fox News Primetime’ next week
Maria Bartiromo will be the next guest host for Fox News’s 7 p.m. show “Fox News Primetime,” Fox News confirmed Friday.
The Wrap first reported Friday that Bartiromo, global markets editor and anchor for Fox News and Fox Business, will host the show all week starting on Monday. It’s the second time Bartiromo has guest anchored the show.
Fox launched “Fox News Primetime” with rotating guest hosts as part of a Jan. 19 change to its lineup. Bartiromo hosted the show during its second week.
Bartiromo currently hosts three other shows on Fox News and Fox Business: “Mornings with Maria,” which runs weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET; “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” which airs Fridays at 9 p.m.; and “Sunday Morning Futures,” which airs on Sundays at 10 a.m.
Bartiromo, along with former Fox Business host Lou Dobbs, host Jeanine Pirro and Fox News itself, were all targets of a defamation lawsuit brought by Smartmatic, the voting technology company at the center of conspiracy theories about election fraud. All four of them have filed motions to have the suit dismissed.
