CNBC announced Friday that the network would be switching up its Washington, D.C., team according to a statement from CNBC Vice President of Business Dan Colarusso.

According to Colarusso, Washington reporter Eamon Javers will now be the network’s senior Washington correspondent and Kayla Tausche has been named senior White House correspondent.

As a Washington reporter for CNBC, Javers covered former President Trump’s administration for the past four years. In his new role, he will report on money and influence in Washington and will also cover the Department of Justice (DOJ), cybercrime and the DOJ antitrust division’s dealings with tech companies.

Similarly, Tausche reported on the Trump administration and the 2020 election. As White House correspondent, she will report on the first 100 days of the Biden administration and how it manages its policy agendas throughout the various Cabinet agencies.

In addition, Ylan Mui has been promoted to senior congressional correspondent and will continue reporting on Capitol Hill and economic policy, building on her work covering the battles over COVID-19 relief.

She will focus on budget issues, infrastructure legislation and the relationship between tech companies and Washington.

Other cable news outlets have also made similar staff changes to their Washington lineups and schedules.

CNN announced in January it was moving chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta to a new beat and in February as chief domestic correspondent. The news network also announced that it would switch up its morning and afternoon lineups, including changes to its show “New Day.” Those changes go into effect in April.

Fox News made several alterations to its daytime and early prime programming in late January.
