Larry King moved from ICU after COVID-19 hospitalization

Longtime broadcaster Larry King was moved out of an ICU in Los Angeles on Monday as he continued to receive hospital care for COVID-19, according to NBC News.

A source close to King’s family told the news outlet that King has been in an L.A. hospital for about 10 days and added that King believes he contracted the disease from a health care worker who visited his home. One of his adult children also tested positive for the disease.

King, 87, suffered a stroke and a heart attack last year, and lost two children to medical issues the same year. News first broke of his hospitalization for the virus on Saturday.

“Larry has fought so many health issues in the last few years and he is fighting this one hard too, he’s a champ,” someone close to the family told ABC News at the time.

A prolific broadcaster who hosted Larry King Live at CNN for 25 years, King currently hosts the talk show series Larry King Now on Ora TV, RT America and Hulu.
