Cuomos on Instagram say their son has contracted coronavirus
CNN host Chris Cuomo’s son Mario has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, according to an Instagram post by the anchor’s wife, Christina Cuomo.
The news comes 23 days after Chris Cuomo announced he had tested positive for COVID-19 and almost a week since the anchor told viewers that Christina Cuomo also was diagnosed with the virus.
“After 10 days of ups and downs, feeling good one day and terrible the next, I am now working hard to get my son, Mario, through the virus,” Cristina wrote. “My heart hurts more than my head over his infection.”
“I’m applying a modified version of my remedies for his protocol with a focus on lots of vitamins,” the 50-year-old magazine editor continued. “Since his sense of smell and taste have disappeared, I am feeding him healthy foods that I normally can’t get him to touch. I kept a diary of the past week including my remedies and things that I did to stay sane through it all.”
Chris Cuomo publicly ended his quarantine on Monday night, telling viewers on his prime-time program the moment was “what I’ve been dreaming of literally for weeks.” He said he’d been cleared by the CDC.
Chris Cuomo also announced Monday night that Christina Cuomo was also out of quarantine.
“She’s out of quarantine, and she dealt with it in a fraction of the time,” the anchor said. “So we are among the blessed.”
The Cuomos have two other children, Bella, 17 and Carolina, 10.
