CNN’s Brooke Baldwin tests positive for coronavirus

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin has tested positive for the coronavirus, according to an announcement by the network anchor on social media.

Baldwin, who usually works out of CNN’s Manhattan bureau, says she’s OK after experiencing “chills, aches, fever” that came on suddenly on Thursday.

“I’m healthy,” she said in a post on Instagram.

“No underlying conditions,” she added. “Honestly, I feel like one of the lucky ones. I look forward to being back on” television.

Baldwin, 40, also thanked doctors and nurses “who are doing the real work right now.”

The news comes just days after CNN host Chris Cuomo announced he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Baldwin joined CNN in 2008.

New York has become the epicenter of the novel coronavirus, with the death toll in the city above 1,500, according to The New York Times.
