Larry David says Sanders presidency would be great for country, terrible for him
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and actor and comedian Larry David appeared on NBC’s “Today” show on Friday, where the ”Curb Your Enthusiasm” star lamented he may have to play Sanders for the next four years if the 2020 presidential hopeful won the presidency.
“I’m here with ‘Curb You Enthusiasm’s’ Larry David,” “Today” co-host Al Roker jokingly exclaimed while standing next to Sanders.
The camera shot then zoomed out to show David also on set as all the men laughed.
“If you become president, you’ve got to be flying back and forth to play him on ‘SNL,’” Roker informed David.
“It’s true, it’s not going to be easy for me!” David conceded. “It will be great for the country, terrible for me.”

“I’m getting you a good job for four years and you’re complaining,” Sanders ribbed.
Sanders, 78, and David, 72, discovered in 2017 they are distant cousins in an episode of the PBS program, “Finding Your Roots.”
Both men greet each other as “cousin.”
David revealed in a GQ interview published earlier this week that he adopted a dog and named it “Bernie.”
The “Seinfeld” co-creator donated to former South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign last year.
