Comedian Jon Stewart is set to host a special live edition of “The Daily Show” on Tuesday, after the show did not air Monday following the assassination attempt against former President Trump over the weekend.
Stewart’s guest Tuesday will be former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, a longtime television news personality who hosted a speaking tour with Trump following his first term in the White House.
“The Daily Show” was originally set to broadcast from the Republican National Convention, taking place in Milwaukee this week, but Comedy Central revamped its plans following the attempt on Trump’s life Saturday in Pennsylvania.
Stewart hosted “The Daily Show” for 16 years before stepping down in 2015, returning this year and hosting a number of live shows following debates and other major news events.
