NewsNation signs pair of senior executives to new contracts

Cable news channel NewsNation has signed a pair of top executives to new contracts, the network announced on Tuesday.

Michael Corn has been named President of Programming and Specials while Cherie Grzech has been elevated to President and Managing Editor of News and Politics, the outlet said. Both will report to Sean Compton, President of Nexstar Media Group’s Networks division.

“NewsNation’s remarkable growth over the past three years is a testament to Michael and Cherie’s exceptional leadership,” Compton said in a statement. “As we steer our organization into a full 24/7 operation later this spring, we are thrilled to have them guiding the network in these newly focused roles.”

As part of his new role, Corn will relocate full-time to the network’s New York bureau and focus on growing the network’s flagship programs. He previously served as NewsNation’s President of News and was responsible for the long-term strategy and day-to-day operations for the network’s programming and expansion.

In Grzech’s new position, she will oversee all news and political shows including “NewsNation Live,” “NewsNation Now,” “The Hill” and “The Hill Sunday,” the company said.

NewsNation was launched in 2021 by Nexstar Media Group, which also owns The Hill.
