Spicer puts his ‘Dancing with the Stars’ puffy neon green shirt up for charity auction
Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer will put his neon green puffy “Dancing with the Stars” shirt on auction for charity, he announced Friday.
Spicer told “Fox & Friends” that proceeds from the sale will go to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which supports injured service members and caregivers, and Independence, which makes available track wheelchairs for injured service members.
{mosads}“I’m good to let it go for a good cause. These are two causes are near and dear to me,” Spicer, who serves as a commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve, said Friday.
“Someone might want a great Halloween costume. Halloween is just around the corner. You might be a huge ‘Dancing with the Stars’ memorabilia collector,” he added.
The former Republican National Committee communications director lit up Twitter on Monday night after he sported a neon green, ruffled shirt and tight-fitting white pants while performing to the 1997 Spice Girls hit “Spice Up Your Life” with champion dancer Lindsay Arnold during the show’s premiere.
The performance earned just 12 points out of a possible 30 from the judges.
“It’s like you were being attacked by a swarm of wasps,” one judge said of Spicer’s performance.
“Dancing with the Stars” doesn’t eliminate any participants in Week 1, meaning Spicer will be back next week.
